The Harvard University Graduate School of Design includes a master’s program in real estate development, referred to as "real estate and the built environment." Created to prepare students for real estate careers, this program is based on the idea that sustainable real estate values, along with aesthetics and economics, are produced through the process of design thinking, typology, and integrated building form.
Real estate and the built environment master’s program focuses on three particular areas that include: design focus, creativity in real estate; thought leadership, abstract insights and theorization; as well as global platform, engaging in the international realm. The program looks at design ideas that can encompass global features.
